Sun Valley has special powers; magical things do happen here. Starting with Bald mountain and a nearly lift line–free existence. Then there is a meal at the 8,000 feet Roundhouse before catching the cruiser into town. There is something out of the ordinary going on in these hills.

Oh, but why? You have to look no further than 1935 when Count Felix Schaffgotsch of Austria sought fame and powder. His mission was to find a location in the United States to build a European resort. When he overheard some locals talking about a small mining town in Idaho called Ketchum. The count couldn’t exactly say why, but “Ketchum” had a ring to it, and he decided to build a resort. While Ketchum and Count don’t really rhyme, we are happy he found the time. (Get it?)

But there is more, does the Count not look like JW?

The count does not look like JW...he looks like an undusted lightbulb...with ears...but enough about him....the real question is how do you lose a race from the Bay Area to Sun Valley if you don't know you are racing? We will see. My best advice is too tape a brick to the right foot of the driver and hot fuel across Nevada...
